  • Episode 1: Leadership and Culture

Episode: What do CEOs want from their HR Team?

    When: 11 October 2022

    Where: Diplomat Radisson Blu

    Duration: 1 Hour

Admission: Free, but you must Register, to attend the next event

    Overview:

For our inaugural HR Majlis session we plan to explore and seek answers to a pressing question (largely ignored): "What do CEOs expect from their HR Team?" The HR Majlis session will feature an informal setting in which top CEOs in Bahrain will discuss their take on some of the following topics, followed by a Q&A.

    • How do the modern-day CEOs see the HR function?
    • Why is the HR function still in the Backroom, not in the Boardroom?
    • Most Companies say that their people are their greatest assets. Seriously? Then why is it that the HR function is not given the importance it deserves
    • What can the HR fraternity do to show tangible progress and real benefits?
    • What legislations do we need to make this function more robust?
    • In Canada, an HR practitioner takes an oath when he/she joins the profession, like a Doctor, or a Member of Parliament. Why not here?
    • How do the CEOs percieve the concept of spending money on Training?
    • How can the training sector be made more accountable?
    • Leadership in an organisation: is it only confined to the CEO?
    • What can the CEO do to help contribute in making the HR cimmunity more inclusive (in decision-making, etc)
    • And a lot more. The session will be moderated by the Session chair

We will send out the Agenda to those wh Join HR Majlis. Admission is FREE for HR Professionals, but you must Register.
